Fight Valiantly – Contending for the Faith: in the Bible and Today.
At this year’s DEF conference we address the searching question of when and how to graciously and clearly contend for the Christian faith in today’s church and society. Few of us relish controversy. But we know the Bible calls on us to ‘guard the good deposit’ – the life-changing gospel. What does this mean, and what might it look like – in our own lives, in local congregations, in the diocese, and nationally?
Our speaker
Revd Dr Lee Gatiss, is enormously experienced in this area. Following curacies in Peterborough and London dioceses, since 2013 he has brought creative energy and imagination to the ministry of Church Society.
Lee blogs, writes, edits, publishes and broadcasts widely in support of its ministry of strengthening local churches in biblical faith and helping shape the Church of England now and for the future. Recent publications include: Positively Anglican: building on the foundations and transforming the church, and The Effective Anglican: seizing the opportunities of ministry in the Church of England.
