At the Annual Meeting this year, members were invited to vote in two ways.
- The first vote was to update the DEF Constitution to bring it in line with CEEC, with whom we are affiliated.
- The second vote, following from the first, was to elect, for a term of three years, the DEF Committee.
As a result of the first vote, it is now necessary for all those who have been on the DEF mailing list in the past to register formally for membership under the new terms:
- DEF Membership is for those who assent to the CEEC Basis of Faith and additional declarations (here – opens in new tab), and
- others may like to continue receiving occasional emails by joining our renewed Mailing List.
The Committee has agreed that there should be no charge for membership, but it reserves the right to change this.
Our new website has been designed to facilitate communication to these different groups, and to make information about DEF events and activity more accessible to everyone. If you are reading this blog post, you have obviously found your way to the site! If you have any feedback about the site, please do let us know by completing our simple form here. (There is also a link to this form on our contact page.)
Please consider joining the DEF formally if you satisfy the membership criteria, or signing up to our newsletters if not. You can do this by clicking here.
